The End of Summer

It is so much fun when the kids or grandkids (usually both) surprise us and drop in.  The other night it was M & S and Baby S.  Look at the proud Papa and the sweet little angel!

 

Then, J and his two boys spontaneously came over tonight and I caught this picture of J with his Baby Z.

 

We sat on the back deck and enjoyed the cool evening.  Of course, as soon as Uncle B and his friend put the golf clubs and golf balls down on the lawn, J got hold of one.  Anything with a ball and this boy will try it!

 I had to laugh at J!  He was really working hard to hammer these pegs into one of his favorite toys at our house and I realized he was concentrating with his tongue poking through his lips.  It reminded me so much of my brother!!!

 Just as we got the baby and his big brother almost ready to go home, the one-upping started.  Never fails when the two brothers get together!  This time, talk turned into a bet as to who could do more reps bench pressing.  I can't remember the weight but J said he could do 35 and B bet him $10 that he couldn't.

  

 Make a comment if you think you can guess how many J did.  Then littler brother, B, took his turn with his friend, Josh, watching.  How many do you think B did?  Who won the bet?

  

 There was so much testosterone floating around in that room the I was almost afraid to stay.  But with little J and his baby brother close to the doorway (in case somebody collapsed, they'd be out of harm's way!), we watched until it was all over.  Then the REAL HE-Man took his turn!

 

 What a natural!  Belly showing and all!
