What a difference a couple years makes!
While A and her husband J the-Ute (to distinguish him from J-the-Cougar and J-the-other Ute and J-the-not-Ute-or-Cougar) were in the Bay Area for an anniversary trip, their kids got to spend the weekend with us. We had a great time; so much fun, in fact, that there wasn't that much opportunity to take pictures we were so busy. BUT here are a few -
No sleep-over would be complete without a story...
This is the first year of soccer for 5 year old A. She plays on the same team with her sister.
"I" is really getting the hang of the game this year!
A's most important task - kicking off!
They lost by a bunch, but they didn't know it!
Later that day, Auntie M came over and traded children with me. She needed a break from baby duties and was more than happy to take DIA and N to the park . . .
. . . where N strutted his basketball stuff!
The big brother, D. I wish I had a picture of all the fun he had with the Legos I got for him! Legos are a great invention!
Baby S who really liked being out back in the hammock chair.
About 1 1/2 years ago, A and J the Ute took a trip and by the end of the weekend I thought a truck had driven over me. This time, although one night N dug his toes into my legs for hours and prevented me from restful sleep, everything else was pretty easy. The kids are generally very kind and helpful to one another and to me. They are imaginative, smart and funny. The weekend was filled with a lot of smiles and hugs!
Well, technically I would be J the Ute that cheers for the cougars.
