Yesterday was the 2nd Sunday of the month, so the kiddos and the kidlets came over for dinner and fun. I had seen a cardboard house at the store the other day and remembered how much fun our kids had in the days when we purchased our fridge or washing machine and they made a house out of the box. Well, I'm not needing any new appliances, but I knew the grandkids would love to decorate a big box. Hence the cardboard house I bought. They had more fun than I imagined!
Here's J and his cousin M (she accompanied J and A to dinner)
N was really enjoing himself! Boo!
This sort of activity is right down I's alley. She is definitely the artiste in the fam!
After dinner, it was time to harvest the pumpkins I had been tending all summer. It's amazing how big those vines got. They certainly rivaled the zucchini and weeds when it came to production this summer. All the grandbabes got to choose their own.
This is Baby M's pumpkin. I'm hoping he will get here in time to enjoy it. So is his mama!
There were still three Zucchini Monsters hiding in the garden and since I was afraid to touch them, son-in-law J picked them. I think they'll find their way to the freezer for zucchini bread or zucchini cobbler...
It seems that almost every 2nd Sunday, the games find their way to our kitchen table, the TV is tuned to NFL football and we all let the fat accumulate on our bellies and thighs. It's actually very relaxing and delightful. What a way to start a new week...
