The BIG Bathtub and Baby M

One of my favorite things about my house has always been the huge bathtub in the master bath.  It has been used and used and used for 20+ years.  I didn't realize how my girls loved it until after they had their own homes some of them started to come over to take a bath!  Sometimes I come home and see the light on in the bathroom at a weird time of night and discover daughter S in there.  She doesn't have a tub at her apartment and she misses a good soak every now and then.  I'm trying to decide if it bugs me that once she's had her time in the tub she's gone.

Well, now that daughter K has a new little one that takes so much time and a house without a big soaking tub, she has come over twice just to take a bath.  I try to find a way to watch Baby M when she's in need of some alone time in the warm water.  Today was such a time.  We got to have Baby M and she got to soak after I took a nice, cold run before the sun set.  I didn't take too many pictures, but here are a few.

Baby M has the cutest big smile!  He loves to coo at you when he's looking up into your face.  After a bunch of smiling and cooing he'd had enough and so I wrapped him up and bounced him to sleep.  With the fireplace setting a comfy mood, we snuggled up in the recliner.  Nothing like some exercise, coming home to a warm house and a loving little baby!

With Grandpa

It was hard to get a picture of his smile because my camera always does the flash before the real flash thing.  So I held the camera with my right hand and tried to aim at his face while I coaxed him into smiling.  This is the best I could do.  Notice the cute little dimple in his chin.  I think he's got his daddy's big eyes and his mommy's chin (although hers isn't nearly as obvious).

I look tired today because I am!
