What Ever Happened to Good "Clean" Fun?

I loved summer when I was a kid.  What kid doesn't?  But when I was little (back in the daaaaark ages) there were no daytime kids' shows, computers or any other electronic gadgets to occupy us.  We created carnivals in our backyard, rode our bikes, ran around the neighborhood and got sweaty and dirty.  It was a blast.

The other day, eldest grandson, D, realized we have large piles of dirt in the lots around our house and a well-worn dirt bike track also.  Since then he has been over three times; the last two times with shovels to "fix" the mounds so that they're more fun to ride on.  Last night I noticed another man with his little boy "fixing" them even better!  I have a feeling the lots will become the next best place to play.  I'm sure glad there's some dirt around here for some good, clean fun!
Sister "I" came over to help and then they both came in for popsicles!
Here are some more pictures of good, clean fun.
Future and current TRA employees on a J and Z's night with Nana and Grandpa on their parents' 5th anniversary. J LOVED "Ice Age"
"Baby" Z is now one!  He really liked the chocolate frosting on his cupcake at his birthday party.  This is what he will look like when he doesn't shave in 20 years!
Daddy J tried and tried to get Z to share, but no way!
He doesn't like walking yet, but once in a while he goes from squatting to a full stand like this, takes a step or two toward a toy, then realizes what's happening and sits down immediately!

We moved some cabinets from upstairs to the family room downstairs and they will eventually house our audio visual equipment.  But for now, they are housing the 3 Muskekidlets!  Z, S and M.
M started crawling last week just like he'd done it all his life!
I love doing crazy stuff like this.  Sometimes I feel like Peter Pan when he sings "I Won't Grow Up!"
