Labor Day in Retrospect

On Monday, Labor Day, I wanted to write this post, but got so busy with real laboring that I didn't want to look at my computer anymore.  This is what I was going to put down.

Thirty-one years ago on Labor Day, I was doing a different kind of laboring and then my beautiful little K. K.came into our world.  Her big sister, A, was so excited to have a little sister and hubby and I loved her immediately.  K was beautiful!  I was nine days late and had joked that it would be funny if I went into labor on Labor Day and then it happened!

K has grown into a wonderful woman who is now herself a mother.  A very good and loving mommy.  She has gone from being a helpless baby who depended on me for everything to being the one others turn to for help.  She can do anything from lay tile to nurse a dying child to sing like an angel.  She is compassionate and smart.  I am very proud of my little grown up baby girl.

  1. Thanks mom. You're sweet. Remember that a lot of who I became is because of the great parenting I received.
