The Easter Supper

So blessed are we!  We remember the sacrifice and atonement of the Only Begotten Son of the Father on Easter and gather the family together to build family bonds.  It is a great day.  This year all the kids and grandkidlets were here and Elder B was here in spirit.
These two think it's really special to have their own table.
These three like their own table.
The ham, funeral potatoes, asparagus, homemade rolls, deviled eggs, pies and strawberry shortcake were scrumptious!
This is the best smile I can make when I have a mouth full of ham!
An explanation is needed here.  When I was a girl I went to Christmas Days at my Dad's side of the family. That Grandma always taught her grandchildren about her love of Jesus and that Christmas is about him more than Santa Claus and presents.  It struck a cord with me and led to my desire to honor my Savior.  This love has prompted me to try to teach the grandkidlets about spiritual things on appropriate days.
On Easter I use some tole painted characters and have the grandkidlets help me tell the story of the first Easter.
Everyone got to take part.  They all wanted to see the marks of the nail holes in Jesus' hands.
