Painting...Again

When we moved into our house two years ago, we liked almost everything about it.  But one thing we don't like is that every single wall in the house, every piece of trim and every door are painted a very white white.  With some ceilings that go up two stories, there is a lot of white!  We remodeled one bathroom, making a shower larger and that project required new paint.  We chose a gentle tannish beige with a slight hint of gold called Oatcake which we really like.

It didn't take me long to find my way back to the hardware store to buy two more gallons, which I did last week and we painted on Saturday.  With both Hubby and I doing our shares, we got the whole kitchen painted in half a day.
With rounded "corners" it's kind of hard to know where one wall begins and the other ends.  So I used some great Froggy Tape and put it halfway between both walls.  We'll get to the family room another time.  That room has two story walls.  Beautiful but very hard to paint.
More tape around cupboards and doors.
I did all the taping but Hubby was the only one who could reach back up behind those upper cupboards.
 I love the color!
Tonight we had some youth over who practiced being missionaries.  It was really fun and reminded me so much of what a wonderful time it was in my life when I was 18 and heard the Gospel for the first time.  These kids did a wonderful job.  You can see how great the paint job looks on the walls behind them.
