Day 3 - Crocs, Caballeras & Spiderman

Today was full of interesting things.  Actually it all started last night when we got back from an interesting bus trip during the height of rush hour from our hotel to "Market 28" which is downtown near the Walmart.  Our kids might remember that Walmart that we visited when we were hear a long time ago.

By the time we got to Market 28, supposedly a flea market type of area, it was dark.  Mexican streets, even in lovely Cancun, are not well lit and I was a bit freaked out.  When we got home there was an animal in our room:

A towel bunny just like on our cruises. In fact, since this resort is all-inclusive, it's a lot like a cruise.  There are several restaurants and you can basically eat all day if you want.
I got a new hat and I really like it.  Hubby thinks it is sexy...Don't really get that, but nice compliment!
On our excursion into town to shop today, Hubby's hand got stuck in a dragon's mouth...

and a giant Spiderman caught me!  The only way he will let me go is if one of my grandkidlets says the magic words.  The magic words are "Nana is the BEST."  When one of the grandkidlets parents somehow (hint-e-mail or Skype) lets us know they have said this, then this wicked Spiderman who lives in Cancun will release me.  I'm pretty sure he will let me bring home some Mexican pesos to the first grandkidlet who does this.

Cancun is a thin strip of land with the ocean on one side and a lagoon on the other.  On the lagoon side there is a sidewalk right up close and this is the warning there.  I wish I had seen a crocodile!
This is a Baja bed.  They're awesome!  Usually there are people on them, but once we got lucky. You look out over the pool straight out to the beach when you sit on them.
Just after sunset as you look from our 6th floor toward the lagoon.  Very pretty.
