The Weeks that Came and Went

I have definitely entered the realm of the ancients.  I believe and say things that old people say like "Time Flies," phrases that I used to snicker about when I was ten.  Time doesn't Fly!  What a stupid old person thing to say.  Well now I think someone should do a scientific study to see why this seems more true the older we get.  I'm almost afraid to hit the sack because I might wake up and grandson D, the first of all the grandbabes, will be leaving on his mission.  Here he is being the great big cousin holding little Baby S who just yesterday (it seems) was small enough to nearly fit in one hand.

Big Cousin, I, who is growing about an inch a day, cuddles Cousin Z.  What an easy baby Z is.  This little guy doesn't cry much, barely spits up, and generally makes it easy for his Mommy (Daughter-in-law A).  Thank-goodness for that because his big brother J, NEVER STOPS!

....unless there is a BYU football game going on and Daddy prevails.  I don't think Daddy J is too happy with the game.  As it turned out BYU got creamed and dropped out of the College Top 25.

Then there is Daddy S, holding Baby S.  Although he attended the University of Utah, he doesn't get too worked up about them winning or losing a game.  Maybe he saves his working up to run ridiculous races of 26.2 miles (and winning!)

This week Baby S's mommy had to go back to work to compile enough hours to officially earn her year's worth of vacation pay and benefits.  It was hard for S's mommy to leave her, but Nana and her other grandma and her daddy didn't mind at all.  How could you mind when this little face grins at you?

I had I had been telling Mommy M that I thought S could hold a rattle and entertain herself.  I was double right!
And look who that is!  Long lost daughter, S, who came over for lunch and helped feed her niece.  What beautiful girls!

It was a good day.
Thanks, M, for letting Baby S and I have this special time together.
