I am a lunatic

I should be put away in the nut house.  This morning the ballroom dance teacher called me and told a very sad story about his Dancing with the Faculty event scheduled for this Friday.  Six teachers dancing, the sixth has kidney stones, her replacement got the flu, now they are desperately in need of a female teacher to do the Mambo.  They would work with me whenever I wanted and for however long and would I PLEASE consider doing it?  Of course, since my son-in-law is a ballroom dance TEACHER, it should be a CINCH for me!  No problem at all.  I'm sure to do a GREAT job (all said with his lovely South African accent).  I am such a SUCKER!  I said yes.  Now, after one 1 1/2 hour practice and trying on six costumes twice each, I've decided kidney stones might be a better option.  I kept telling the other teachers that were the first choice (not the THIRD!) that they could do it, just be sure to smile the whole time.  What bunk!  I'll be lucky to not frown trying to remember the moves. 

But I am NOT a quitter,   J, the Ute ballroom dance instructor and his partner, will be home from a business trip at 8 Thursday night, and I've quilted him into giving me an hour and a half beginning at 9 PM.  I'm holding him to it!

They should rename it Dancing with the Dunces.
