Musing

Tonight M and S and Baby S came over to watch Survivor: Samoa with us.  M apologized about how often they've been coming over.  I guess she just doesn't understand how much we love having them living closer rather than in Logan or SLC.  Baby S really responded to my goofiness tonight with a whole lot of cackling.  M said that she never does that for her other grandparents and that she laughs a lot more at our house.  Well, that confirms it.  I am officially a clown.  That's just great, I like being the goofy grandparent.  As for the show, we've all decided that Russell is one of the best players of that game than anybody we've ever seen.  It will be interesting to see what happens on the next episode.  And hopefully, S and M and Baby S will be here again with us.

I remember growing up how much I loved going to my Nana's house.  I always felt special there, even through the gawky and difficult teenage years.  I want to be that kind of Nana.

This morning we went to the Modbe closing sale.  All the girls except for A were there with their babies.  Big two year old J was the oldest of the kids who came and he became my shadow.  We had fun.  No, I didn't buy anything, but yes, I enjoyed it.  I remember the days of trying to find deals at sales like that, balancing one baby on one hip, and trying to keep an eye on the toddler running around.  I'm glad I was there to provide just a little assistance.

When J and his mommy had to leave, he greatly protesting saying he wanted to go in my truck.  It took bribes of gum to convince him to get in his own car seat in his car.  I know he probably swallowed it after two chews, sorry, Mommy!

No pictures tonight...  Sorry... You'll just have to use your imagination!
