Go SColts

Well, we had our traditional Souper Bowl family meal yesterday and all the fam came over except for Grandma to watch the Super Bowl Cots vs. Saints.  I made chilli and broccoli cheese soup, J, the original Ute, made tomato basil, S made tortilla chicken and J, the BBQ'r brought pulled pork and bacon wrapped jalapenos!  Everyone else contributed salads.  There was far more food than we could eat.

Since no one had tight allegiances to any team, I created a pool with the following questions -
How many TD's will Austin Collie (former BYU player) make?
How many TD's will Reggie Bush make?
How many turnovers will each team make?
What will the final point spread be?
Who will win?
What will the final score be?

Most correct answers got 1 point, point spread got 2, final score got 3.  It made the game a lot more fun especially as we got down to the end.  The prize was dinner out for the couple with Mom and Dad on us.  Well, you'll never guess if you weren't here.  We allowed grandson, D, the eldest to participate.  He got the most points!  So we owe him a lunch out and he is thrilled.  Every other couple (including youngest B and his girlfriend) tied!  Since there were few turnovers and neither Collie nor Bush scored, the most points scored on a sheet was 2.  So Wienerschnitzel, here we come!

Baby M and Baby S checking out the toy.  I think S has a quicker hand at this point!

Baby M's daddy, J the BBQ'r.  Note that his cast is off and the ugly staples in his forearm.  He's a tough cookie!

These two had the most at stake in the game.  Daughter-in-law A, the Cougar, had served her LDS mission in Indiana - hence the Colts hats.

Son B and girlfriend B.  They didn't mind that we were all a bit crowded on the couch!

Daughter S and J, the Ute.  They were mostly interested in the meal...

The most uninterested "fans!"
I love the Souper Bowl tradition!
