So, as you can tell, I haven't been putting any pictures up for a while. Why is that, you ask? Because dumbo me accidentally knocked the camera on the floor and apparently it won't work. I have been busy with so many things that I won't even begin to list them and just haven't taken it to be fixed. So I have resorted to using my old camera which I really don't like. Another reason for no pictures is that my PC won't connect to the internet. It needs a new card or something and me, being my father's daughter, I am GOING TO FIX IT MYSELF! Someday... The problem is that it is much harder for my laptop or my macbook to download the pictures from an SD card. Hence, pictures are still on the card and not on the blog. But I promise to rectify that soon. Watch for pictures - good ones, too, I promise:)
But, that doesn't mean I don't have anything to tell about. The biggest news is that we have put our house on the market and are going to close on a new one about a mile away probably on Monday. How did we get to this point? Why do we want to move? Many reasons, but suffice it to say, it's time. Time for far less bedrooms (total of 10 between the two sides of our house), time for larger gathering spaces for all the kids and grandkidlets who find their way back home often. The kids think it's funny we've decided to buy another big house just for two people, but we tell them it's not just for us. It's for two people who like to entertain other people, especially those whose names are or have been Anderson!
In support of this, let me describe a typical week of "just two people" in our house. Sunday was the second Sunday of the month, so everyone but daughter S and J the Ute were over for dinner and a few hours of conversation. Monday son J, the Cougar, called to ask if he and his lovely wife and two boys could come over and feed the ducks for FHE at the pond near our house, then stay for dinner. No problemo! Leftovers from Sunday used.
Tuesday daughter M and Baby S came by after helping with the track team at the high school so they stayed for dinner. Then Superman S, the runner, came by later. Same thing on Wednesday except they helped with a track meet and M stayed for dinner. Thursday son J, the Cougar, and son B, the bird who left the nest most recently, came over at 10:30 AM to watch BYU play (a double overtime NCAA first round basketball game. The house was relatively empty that night because we spent time at IKEA coveting all the organizational stuff with daughter M and Baby S again. Tonight, Friday, daughter S, the youngest Cougar, came over to refinish a shelving unit, spent dinner with us and is still here after we took eldest grandson, D, to the local theater to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid. So much for two people whose kids have all left the nest! And I'm not complaining one bit!
And the knee is healing. Doctor said I'm good to start running again if I want in as early as four weeks! Yippee! Time for the flabbies to go away!
