Maybe now I'll stop being weepy...
We got a letter from Elder B! It was written in his teeny tiny handwriting which was actually so beautiful that I didn't even mind! We thought we might hear from him last week but nothing came till today. You can read the highlights on Ben's Mission Blog.
Our dog, Shadow, is being well-cared for in her master's absence. Hubby takes her to work each day where she has become the Office Dog complete with treats sneaked to her by several of the office ladies. No wonder I haven't had to fill her bowl so much.
I managed to wash most of the clothes that B had left in various rooms, laundry baskets and closets around the house, but I can't yet bring myself to wash his stinky sheets. Something about that boy smell that I used to think was disgusting isn't quite as gross as it used to be...
Over the weekend we got to have DIA and N over while their parents took a little anniversary trip. They were such good kids except for the tendency to drop anything and every item that they were through with. I'm sure I used to pick up things when my kids were little, but in those days my back wasn't as old! Despite the extra cleaning up, I am reminded of how lucky we are to live so close to the grandkidlets and how sweet they are to us. I must have been given 50 kisses and 25 hugs over the weekend! That helped to ease the loss of the baby boy who isn't such a baby anymore...
