One of the best things about getting old is that other people age, too. You're never alone in the aging process. So that means that little girl babies, by the grace of God, reach the age of 8. In "I"s case, she made the very special decision to be baptized. When she was a little baby I knew that she would be special. She had the sweetest temperament and she was such a quick learner. "I" isn't the kind to talk a ton, but you can tell that everything that she hears is being considered in her mind. Because she came to our family the adoption way, she has always had a huge circle of family to love and inspire her including birth parents. When I was a girl being adopted meant that your "real" parents weren't raising you. I am so glad that I understand better now. "I" gets it. She knows why she is on the Earth and what her purpose is. She understands that she has many choices to make during her lifetime and she tries to make wise ones, even at her young age.
She had a fun birthday party with lots of little girls. Nana (me) got to help with the nail painting station. I was happy to be involved.
On December 3rd, we presented "I" with her very set of scriptures with her name inscribed on them. She was so excited to have her own. She and her brothers and sister were at our house but I had to leave for a while. When I came back "I" told me that she was on the third page of Genesis. Imagine a 3rd grader reading Genesis and not giving up!
We are so proud of "I." She is such an awesome little girl and so loving. Her uncle who is serving a mission for our church is also so proud of her.
We love you "I" and will always love you!
Congrats I on your baptism.
