The last week of school was crazy for this high school secretary. i was able to get away to see three of the grandkidlets' dance festival.
A running out to perform. She did terrific!
I* performed to Michael Jackson's "Thriller"
D did everything right! You can tell that all three have theater and dance experience.
Another proof that it's spring leading into summer is what we found in our grill the other day -
We kept seeing two black birds jumping around on the railing of the deck and one day Hubby opened the grill and found it full of straw like this. He emptied out the straw. Then about a week later we opened it and there was another nest with 3 eggs in it! We immediately closed it and then two days later there were two more eggs. So no bbq's for us for a while. However, we think maybe the eggs should have hatched by now and wonder if the parents have abandoned the nest. We'll leave it there a little longer and then I think we'll claim the grill back for ourselves!
When a grandkidlet turns five one of his birthday presents from me is a specially made unique quilt for them. Since N turned 5 last week, he was due for his blanket but I had to finish it. I started the day before his birthday, worked on the day of his birthday and finally finished it today.
I make the blankets for them to use at their activities or at home. By the time they get to be five they generally have a favorite sport or activity. Noah is a very good soccer player so I've been calling him Good King Noah because he's the king of the field and to distinguish him from the wicked King Noah of the Book of Mormon. It was a no-brainer to put that on his blanket. It took more than 15 hours with all the stitching. Noah seemed to be very happy with his present!
After the final day of school for the year, Hubby and I drove down to St. George and had dinner with Elder B's girlfriends mom, dad and grandparents. Girlfriend B had given us tickets to see The Little Mermaid at the outdoor theater there, Tuacahn. So we did dinner first, then went to the show. It was great.

What a beautiful background
They actually flood the stage with a thin layer of water for this show!
We really enjoyed the show but I was pretty tired. If you go see a show there be prepared for a 9 PM start and not getting back to St. George until midnight
We enjoyed ourselves and I am anxious to enjoy the warm weather we came home to.
