Last week was our ward's Girls' Camp. It had been years since I have been to girls camp and I was excited to go. I knew that I would get little sleep (even though "camping" in this ward includes a cabin, warm water, showers, a kitchen, and a hot tub), I didn't know what to expect minute by minute, but I was anxious to get to know the girls better. What better way than spending 24 hours a day with them for four days?
Well, naturally when I have something good to do, the "opposition" finds a way to thwart my well-laid plans. This happened the day before departing with a call from our legal minds who needed some important information that our bookkeeper needed help with. Plans to leave Wednesday nixed! But I was able to leave Thursday and finally after several delays including complete traffic jam for one hour due to a big rig rollover, I arrived at the cabin in Weber Canyon.
Our darling girls. I love them so much.
The fun and talented leaders. (I'm at the very back in the white hat)
Here is some evidence of the flooding that is currently taking place due to a huge snowpack and warm temperatures. All the low lying places anywhere near a river are flooded.
Going over the bridge sorta creeped me out.
More evidence of the effect of heavy snowpack and warm temperatures. This ranch is under at least 6-18" of water.
I enjoyed Girls Camp and the theme - Live Like You Believe.
