Lake Powell 2011

We had a great time on the annual houseboat trip to Lake Powell!  Here are some random pictures, not in any special order.

Annual Watermelon Football Keep Away game in Lost Eden Canyon
There were two canoes on the houseboat this year and we made good use of them!
J, A and all of the younger set had a blast catching lizards.
Daughter A with hubby J in this overexposed photo.  We all tend to be a little overexposed when we're at the lake!
Nana with two of the grandsons eating dinner.  Hot and yummy
 Beautiful evening, beautiful boy
It seems that no matter where you go these days, electronics have to come too!
Sleeping through the excitement!
One of the best things about any boating trip - the awesome High Flyer tube.
Daughter A showing two of her kids how it's done
Her son showing who he already KNOWS how to survive the tube!
Some of the younger kiddos on the tube.
Thanks, Hubby, for such a fun boat and your generosity!
Super runner S with grandson D.  They really had some fun and stayed on the longest.
A and K always have their own turn seeing who can stay on longest.  Don't tell anyone but the rope broke!!!
Whether you're riding or surviving, it's totally fun on the boat.
Proof of the broken rope!
Back at the slip for the evening.  The catfish were really biting and the males had a very exhausting time sitting there fishing...haha
Grandson J caught the biggest catfish!  He was SOOO excited!
Baby I is so good.  He slept even in the heat.
We found "Forgotten Canyon" and hiked up to some wall writings by some ancient cave dwellers.
There were many buildings
Daughter M climbed in
J, Grandpa and M inside
Daughter-in-law A was brave, too.
I was not too excited to get in!
It was a very long way up.
Some wall writings that are eons old.
Later that night if you shown a flashlight on your hook, the stripers took the bait.  These crazy fishermen caught 11 stripers!
Evidence of a tough time on the tube - daughter A's bruises.  (That's why yours truly does NOT ride on the tube anymore:)
We had a really good time with all the fam there except one of the triplets and Elder B who we missed alot.
