Family Home Evening (to dye for)

I used to not really love the candy, eggs, dye part of the Easter celebration.  Now that the kids are grown and I don't have to worry about boiling eggs, dye getting all over the place and keeping those eggs from cracking with the inevitable tears, I don't mind that so much.  This year daughter M invited the whole clan over for an egg-dying session and Hubby and I were appointed "judges."  I think we should keep this tradition.  I like it.  At M's house every year.  Never at mine!  So much calmer for me!  Selfish I am, but I do believe I've paid my dues and don't need to feel terribly guilty for my selfishness!

The day before the "family home evening to dye for" (haha), we enjoyed such a lovely weekend at home listening to wise counsel from inspired leaders.  They testify of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  For those in the world who consider my religion unChristian, might I suggest that they actually listen to our leaders testify of Him.  "General Conference" happens twice a year and it is televised in most major tv markets - the next time will be the first weekend in October.  It is called "general" because the messages are for all, everywhere.  I love my Savior and truly loved being immersed in messages about Him.  S and her husband, J, were over on Sunday listening and snapped this picture of Hubby and me warming our feet while we listened.
Now, the Family Home Evening to Dye For:

D was too old for dying eggs but not too old for make a cheesy face!

Note the red eyes on this Nana.  "I" didn't seem to mind, but I do!  Springtime allergies are killin me!

It was difficult to choose the "winners" because they were all so GOOD!  But we gave certificates for various bests.

A great evening!
