Way to Go, J and J!

Eldest Son J, the Cougar, earned his civil engineering degree from the U of U and he agreed to take part in commencement.  I told him that he should do this if not for himself and his parents, but for his boys who are old enough to remember that this was an important day for their dad and to reinforce the importance of education.  Son-in-law, J, the 2nd Ute, also graduated with his degree in mechanical engineering, but since he is pursuing a graduate degree, he opted to "walk" in a few years when he gets his Ph.D. Both of these young men are so SMART!  I am so proud of them!
Here is son, J, with his eldest son, J, while waiting for his group to go down to the podium.

Just after receiving his diploma.  He looks perty happy, don't ya think?
He had actually already received his diploma.  What they really award at the ceremony is the case!  But it was cool anyways!

M entertained the little ones while we tried to find Civil Engineer, J.  She is so good with little kids - always thinking of creative ways to entertain or to teach.
The happy family.  I told A, that half of the diploma should be hers!  She went through pregnancies, child bearing and countless days and nights carrying the whole family load while J was at school, working, or studying.
His in-laws also came to the ceremony as did sister M, Grandma and M's daughter, S.
Proud parents!

Afterwards we pigged out at Chuck-a-rama.  Outside there was a nice place for picture-taking.
J and daughter S.  We will miss them so much when they go to Vanderbilt in Nashville later this summer!
