"What do you wanna do today?"
"I don't know. What do you wanna do today?"
"I don't know."
"Okay, let's decide later."
Then about two or three hours later we'd have the same conversation and by about 2 or 3 in the afternoon we'd do something like make a trip to the supermarket (about 1/4 the size of Fresh Market) or head to the north shore again to get a late lunch/early dinner, read some more, watch the surfers or find some turtles. We found a little "grill" joint and got a kick out of one of the offerings on the menu.
I'm sure the Hawaiian meaning for Pupu isn't the same as the meaning I attach to the word, but I still didn't want to try it!
Hubby enjoyed watching the surfers with the binoculars.
I loved reading and glancing up at the surfers.  It was still a red flag/no swim day in most sections of this beach but the waves weren't nearly as big as the first two days.
While at Haleiwa Beach, I caught my toe on some coral rocks.  It hurt but I didn't realize how bad until I looked down at my white flip-flops and there was a bunch of red blood all over them.  When you cut yourself on coral it's important to clean it out ASAP and put some anti-biotic ointment on, which I did.
We kept seeing turtles in the water sort of near the surfers but could never get a picture of them.  Then someone at the beach told us to take a walk around the point and we'd see some on the sand.  And there they were!  Big, beautiful and resting peacefully.  It is against the law to disturb them.
What beautiful creatures of God!
On the day we left to come home, I finally got a good look at the crabs that Hubby told me lived on the rocks.  They are very camouflaged.  How many can you find?
(There are at least five in the picture!)
We really had a wonderful time in Hawaii - the most relaxing vacation I've ever had and I'm so glad we went!
