First we went to big brother D's class play. It was a big undertaking for that teacher who I really admire for taking it on - a school version of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream! D played the donkey and he did a great job of projecting his lines without a mike from behind his mask.
This cute mask was made of duct tape!
The donkey with all the fairies - not too bad of a gig!
Following the play we celebrated A's birthday with cake and presents at her house. She received an American Doll from her parents and was hoping that we would give her a doll bed, asking for it almost every time she saw me.
First the cake. She wanted to light her own candles this year. That was fine, as long as she didn't light her mom's hair on fire!
Hubby went outside and brought the large, unwrapped doll bed out of the car while D made sure A did not peak.
She likes it!
We also gave her a granddaughter bracelet and a charm for her charm bracelet.
Happy Birthday, our darling two year old granddaughter!
